Dyson Pet Vacuum Review

  • by

Every day I come across carpets loaded with debris and soil, and sometimes I wonder how they get so dirty!  When I ask the client if they own a vacuum, the answer is generally yes. Even still, there are a number of homes and apartments which haven’t seen a vacuum in many years, if ever. More frequently than not, the customer has a vacuum and it merely does not function well or the vacuum bag is full. I have periodically unclogged many vacuums for numerous customers. I use the the Dyson Pet Vacuum as my personal choice, and can give an honest evaluation to you of what I like and dislike about it.

Shaw (one of the biggest carpet manufacturers on the planet) suggests you vacuum high traffic locations everyday and areas with average traffic at least twice per week. Thorough vacuuming reduces the quantity of particulate soil and retain from migrating into the carpet pile where it may create lots of harm and scrape the fiber yarns. Shaw also advocates that the carpets be professionally cleaned at least every two years and as desired or needed. Periodic vacuuming and steam cleansing of the carpet fibers can triple the carpets life expectancy. Vacuuming the carpet completely can remove as much as one pound of soil in a square foot of carpet. HEPA Filtration can trap the dirt and pet allergen particles in these particles will be kept by the vacuum filtration system which from the air we breath. Having HEPA Filtration is an additional advantage that vacuums such as the Dyson Pet Vacuum have.

My Dyson Pet vacuum does a wonderful job with pulling out soil and hair in the carpet fiber. The suction created in the 12 amp motor creates 270 Air Watts of suction is rather exceptional. Jobs are made easy by this suction like cleaning and is capable of vacuuming between car mats, car seats and floors. The telescopic extension arm permits for excellent access for cleaning blinds and window seals. The easy to remove canister is also very likable to me. This canister saves cash and time by its’ ease of use and not having to change the paper bag. With bag vacuums they must have a brand new bag changed out once it’s half full. When over half of the bag full, the vacuum can lose as much as half its suction strength. The chance of the vacuum becoming clogged also increases with a half full bag. The Dyson Pet vacuum is reliable and hasn’t split a belt or broke down in more than 5 years. Now for what I don’t enjoy.

The brush underneath the vacuum gets clogged with a myriad of string, thread and hair. It’s an extremely tedious process of cleansing this brush. I’ve discovered that cutting the material out using a little pair of scissors appears to be the quickest and simplest method. Using the stair device and several of its attachments is challenging  because the hose doesn’t stretch to the top of the stairway and lugging the vacuum up is really a pain. The canister inlets situated on the base of the canister do clog from time to time, particularly when my kids do the vacuuming because they attempt to vacuum up almost every thing from socks, coins, assignments and all things they believe can be sucked up easily without having to bend over and actually pick the item up. The extension tube doesn’t bend, making it hard to use in enclosed or tight  locations like underneath beds and under car seats. You’ve got to take the vacuum into a Professional repair shop to replace a belt if it breaks which can be a real pain in the  xxx. I’ve also heard about other individuals having faulty motors that are incredibly loud, but mine never had a motor noise issue. They’re a little costly but I’m much more inclined to spend $500.00 once than spend $200 on several occasions and also be stuck with an inferior vacuum cleaner with poor efficiency.
