1).When we begin our Colorado Carpet Cleaning clean up we want to blot the carpet stain with a white cotton towel. Our hope is to grab the carpet stain before it can be absorbed into the carpet fibers. Work from the outside of the carpet stain to the center so that the carpet stain is not made larger inadvertently. Keep folding your towel so that you are working with a clean surface. You can scoop the solids of the carpet stain with a spoon. Keep blotting the carpet stain until you no longer have a transference to the towel.

2).Before we begin to apply a Carpet Cleaning agent we need to identify what caused the carpet stain. Different types of carpet stains require different cleaning agents. You should also test your cleaning agent on an inconspicuous area to insure that it does not bleach or discolor your carpet. Most of us have a Nylon carpet yarn and chemicals that have oxidizers or bleaching agents like oxy- anything will take out your stain and the carpet dye!

3).Always apply your Carpet Cleaning agent to your clean towel and do not dump the chemical on to the carpet directly. Work your carpet cleaning agent from the outside of the stain towards the middle. We do not want to spread the carpet stain. After we have removed the carpet stain or given it our best effort, we want to take a new  damp towel and blot up the carpet cleaning agent that we used on the spot.

                                                            Basic Colorado Carpet Cleaning Spot Removal :

1. Using white cloth or paper towel, blot up or scoop up (spoon) as much of the Carpet stain as possible.

2. Apply clean warm water to stained area. Blot firmly in order to remove as much moisture as possible. Repeat this step until the carpet stain is gone or there is no longer transference from the carpet stain to the clean towel. Remember to keep folding the towel to keep a clean part exposed to the carpet stain.

3.If we still have a carpet stain, apply a solution of of warm water and mild non-bleach liquid laundry detergent (1 tsp. to 1 quart water). Let the chemical sit for 2-5 minutes.

4.Blot up the detergent with warm water. Try not to over wet the carpet. Blot up all the soap so that we do not have re-soiling from leftover soap.

5.You may blot up remaining moisture by placing a weighted towel on top of wet area or you can use a hair dryer to dry affected area.

6. Vacuum the carpet when it is completely dry. If there is a new carpet stain the next day repeat steps 3-6 since the stain may have wicked or traveled from the carpet base to the surface. If the carpet stain remains, give us a call.

                                Complex Colorado Carpet Cleaning Spot Removal

A.) Follow step1 and then apply a dry cleaning solvent. Follow the instructions on the container and then follow steps 2-6.

B.) Follow steps 1-3 and then apply a solution of clear, white, non suds ammonia (2 tbsp. to 1 qt. water). Blot up with clean white towel. Repeat step 3., and then steps 4-6.

C.)Follow steps 1-4 and then apply solution of white vinegar (2 tbsp. vinegar to 1 qt. water). Blot with clean white towel. Repeat step 3. Then steps 4-6.

D.)Follow steps 1-3 and then apply solution of white vinegar(2 tbsp. to 1 qt. water) and blot. Now apply solution of clear, white, non suds ammonia (2 tbs. to 1 qt. water) and blot. Repeat step 3. and then steps 4-6.

E.) Freeze area with ice cubes. Shatter solid mass with a safe blunt instrument and vacuum up all the pieces.
